Summer in the Dolomites and Tirol

This summer, I embarked on a hiking adventure with my friend Romain. Our journey began in the picturesque Dolomites in Italy, and from the moment we arrived, I was captivated by the breathtaking beauty of the place. Among the many highlights of our trip, conquering the famous 3 Zinnen in the Dolomites stands out. The long walk on the snowy terrain to reach the summit was both challenging and exhilarating. But our exploration didn't stop there; we ventured to numerous other stunning peaks and serene lakes, where we indulged in refreshing swims. Amidst our explorations, we stumbled upon an abandoned WWII bunker. With a mix of excitement and trepidation, we managed to sneak in and explore its never-ending tunnels and staircases. Though frightening at times, it was an unforgettable experience, especially when we finally discovered an exit after hours of wandering.

During this trip, I also had the opportunity to try electric mountain biking for the first time. Initially skeptical about the assistance it provided, I soon realized its value as we tackled challenging paths that would have been impossible to conquer without it. I had to admit that electric mountain biking turned out to be an unexpectedly enjoyable activity.

As the weather took a turn for the worse in South Tirol, we made the decision to head to Tirol in Austria. Little did we know that it would turn out to be a hidden gem of natural splendor. The region boasted awe-inspiring peaks, and it was in Tirol that I reached my first 3000-meter summit. To culminate our adventure, we challenged ourselves by conquering five via ferratas in a single day—an intense and truly unforgettable experience.

This summer, my hiking journey with Romain took me to the most breathtaking landscapes, pushed my limits, and introduced me to new and exciting activities. From the enchanting Dolomites to the majestic peaks of Tirol, each moment was a testament to the wonders of nature and the thrill of exploration.
