Evasion

During the lockdowns of 2020 and 21, this project became my excuse to flea from isolation and the craziness of Berlin, to wander into the woods with dear friends to create something beautiful.

Nature allows us to be fully ourselves, or someone else entirely. Here we get to escape societal code, stop behaving the part and just be; coy, childish, wild or playful. We can climb trees, splash through water, connect with ourselves and our bodies, cast our inhibitions—or perhaps a spell or two.

With my models I experienced genuine moments of joy and beauty, where they shared their true selves and gave me the privilege of capturing this on film.
